Cher – It's A Man's World

Our copy has a red hype sticker, but has Made In USA on the bottom spine of the box and on the labels. No slowdowns on side 4. Record two is NOT yellow as shown above, but more of a mustardy green. Not sure where is was pressed, no stamped numbers in deadwax that would indicate a USA based GZ plant. Credits list Chris Bellman as cutting the lacquers. Oh, the lithograph is numbered.

I received a defective copy where there is a strange distortion in the right channel throughout Record 1 Side A of the main album. The other sides and the remix double album were problem free. Unfortunately, the replacement from Amazon.ca had the same pressing defect with the right channel distortion. Sigh. Record collecting is becoming a disappointment when you are ripped off by lack of quality control.

out of all of the box sets I own, this one has got to be the worst value. Don't get me wrong, these records sound great and are remastered beautifully, but this does not feel like it is worth the $99 price tag. My biggest gripe is the cheap paper record sleeves, If they're not going to have any art or lyrics on them, at least throw in some archival quality anti-static record sleeves. These records are very prone to static. I will say, I appreciated the little details such as the spine art work. But its very clear, especially when compared to the "believe" 25th-anniversary box set, that this just isn't one of Cher's most loved outputs.
