Both the translucent blue and yellow variants sound pretty great for colored discs, but this standard black variant may actually be the best one of them all.
Every detail on the record sounds so crisp and clear, highlighting the pronounced details of every instrument in the music. The vocals soar higher here than in the other variants, sounding less compressed especially in “Look At Us Now (Honeycomb)” which acts as the last song of Side A.
Additionally, the black colorway of the record fits extremely well with the 1970’s period that the show takes place in—giving it a sense of realism as a true product of it’s time. It’s what I personally think looks the best of all the variants, aside from it being the best sounding one overall.
