I dearly wish Jamie Hewlett would have a art style again and stop drawing the Gorillaz as weird cartoon heads slapped onto eerily realistically proportioned human bodies. Just once for old times sake ya know -
This álbum from Gorillaz is nice but has a streach to reach heigths. Nice sound (not on every song) but deserve a lisening. -
After showing they still got it with a previous release like Song Machine, the band lowers the bar again for this social media soundtrack type of album. It's not without its highlights, namely the title track Cracker Island featuring bass virtuoso Thundercat and the synthpop driven Oil with Stevie Nicks' vocals. Unfortunately from then on their song-crafting remains on autopilot, whether it's in the name of parody or not they inevitably become what they once criticized. -
just wondering if anyone has gotten their replacement for purple vinyl yet or at least a shipping confirmation? -

I have to take back my rant on the pressing. The distortion I heard on Possession Island vinyl version is also present on Spotify. So pressing is not the culprit. Poor mastering or recording on piano is too hot, who knows.
