This compilation really sums up the TIP sound for me. It's a slightly darker more futuristic soundscape at the very cutting edge and used effectively to drive peak time dance floors at nights like Science Fiction at the legendary Fridge in Brixton. Almost unrelenting in it's use of paranoid sounds and percussive beats TIP really produced some outstanding mind music back in tiger 90's much like Blueroom did in some ways while Flying Rhino & Dragonfly produced the more traditional Goa sounds. Mix it all up and that's the sound of 90's London's best nights right there. What a time is was to be alive!

Edited 10 months agoFor me personally this compilation is a bit too minimal, for my blood at least. Not even the usually consistent The Infinity Project can produce anything near their best and I would have to rate "Mindboggler" as one of their weaker efforts. Highlights for me are Psychopod - "Friagram", The Deviant - "Dawn On Epsilon" and Sandman - "Highway 101".

Edited 6 years agoThis compilation is very strange/weird. Sounds are aliens, psy and mental. Extreme experience to listen it entirely. Genius masterpiece for 1997

Edited 19 years agoThis compilation was in 1997 something that I had never heard before. It wasn't that melodic Goa anymore and the whole soundscape was different than I was used to.
This compilation is awesome from beginning to end. No matter if you like melodic Goa or more minimalistic sound, I'd recommend this to everyone.
