Reviews
-
All Eagles sound muddy, even in the early versions. It'll probably sound right if somebody has a $15,000+ system.😏
This version sounds good. -
Edited 11 months agoBass is definitely louder on the vinyl edition, and yes the SACD has a murky sound about it. The voices however, are somewhat lost in the mix on both the vinyl and SACD. This would have been a mixing decision at the time of recording. You can hear that across multiple releases of this album, and various comps over the decades. Even the DCC gold CD GHits has its flaws - tracks from this album sound a little bright and murky at points.

Just got it. Disappointed in the overall quality. Light bass and muddy , hardly any drums. Don't like the lack of brilliance or soundstage. I have 75 SACD's and a high end system. This disc was $50 and doubt it's better than the $10 Redbook remaster.
