Why is the VMP version listed as the "4th pressing", when it was not pressed at Optimal like the rest of the recent reissues, but pressed at GZ instead? Doesn't really make sense. -

I know vinyl is a lot of people's main format of interest, it is mine too. But with all these complaints, specifically about vinyl pressings, pic disks, and a lack of pressings and rights and shit it makes me think... JUST BUY THE CD. You can get it from $2-5 and it's gonna sound just as good or better than all of these vinyl pressings, and will leave you with no reason to argue and complain . Just a thought.. -
In a recent interview ahead of the release of the new boxed set the Mars Volta guys said they were never happy with the vinyl mastering that Universal Music Group put out without their permission. The new 18LP boxed set - La Realidad De Los Sueños will be based on new masters from the original tapes supervised by the band themselves.
Only 5,000 copies so make sure you move fast. -
2020 and Mars Volta albums (specially this one and s, two of the greatest albums of the 00's) still have no reissue. I don't get it. -
Edited 4 years agoi bought this after finding it on one of those all time great prog rock lists but the high pitched vocals remind me of muse/emo music which at first listen was very irritating then i started to notice the epic nonsense that is the lyrics and with each listen the irritation builds.
there are some nice moments amongst the hysteria but this will be my first and last album from these guys as i prefer old school prog and generally not a fan of 90's to present day alternative rock.
