It actually sounds cleaner that the original, like whatever mastering or cutting engineer the mafia used corrected it to sound like a normal record

A lot of the mid-range scuzz/background rhythm guitar fuzz is not there, so it's kind of a poppier mix.

Actually sounds very decent, don't have an original to compare it with but am impressed. A bit more surface noise probably than an original, but it's not overwhelming.

Please disregard my previous note. Looking at wrong pressing... EEK crawl back in my hole...

My East Coast pressing matches in every way EXCEPT there is a Skull Tattoo on the front cover.

I have one without a scull tattoo but it doesn't have "There She Comes Now." Wonder if this is also a 1968 pressing. Anybody else know anything about this version?

People buying copies from this Discogs listing should be careful of buying counterfeits. Particularly:

It would be interesting to find out one day the origins of this edition.

I have one signed by John Cale on the back cover which I bought on eBay a couple of years ago, then recently I found a seller here in Brazil selling both a White Light/White Heat and a VU & Nico which came from the very same person. According to the seller, the previous owner bought both of them at the same time. I noticed that the "Banana album" was a 70's edition (1973 stereo, no Emerson on back and printed banana, blue label with different font than original), so I thought that WL/WH was also a '73 or so reissue... well, imagine my surprise when they arrived and WL/WH was the same edition that I already had, that is: this one! Of course it doesn't mean anything, but maybe, just maybe, this edition was available at the same time as '73 reissues? I also find it interesting that there would be a counterfeit of this one made back in the day but not the others. It would be great to know the history behind this one.
