This is the best sounding version of this album but by no means this is a great sounding record.

    Compared to the 2018 reissue:

    1. This has a wider soundstage. I would say 20% wider (just to give an idea).

    2. The drum sounds less harsh and more dynamic but still buried/muffled.

    3. Guitar has more body and bite but still seriously lacks the “sizzling” top end you hear on the S/T album.

    4. Bass sounds more defined.

It’s still a compressed record and nothing to hunt down if you have the 2018 reissue and if you are a casual fan.

Sound is much quieter than the original 1999 pressing and not as clear, more bass-heavy.

This things slaps, deep bass as with all RATM MoV reissues this is the version to get, I have sampled other reissues and they all sound thin, lack the definition, but this thing on a single LP sound huge, also this was recorded live in studio and mixed although not entirely, but will never sound polished and on point like their self title album, different approach to a different album.

Overall Great variant of a very underappreciated album from this great band.

Solid sound on this reissue. But keep in mind this is of course a live recording so do not expect too much of an audiophile sound!!

Amazing reissue like all the others RATM MOV releases, the original European stampers were used and you can feel all the energy of the band coming out from your speakers.

I'll be damned if this isn't one of the best sounding 90's reissues out there. This is a significant improvement upon the CD. The bass and percussion are loud and tight without sounding compressed at all. MOV has outdone themselves as always.
