I am absolutely fascinated with this pressing, serious audiophile sound here. Couldn’t believe it when I heard it. A++++++
-
Edited one year agoMastering sounds excellent and the pressing is pretty pristine. Got this pressing with a different variant:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, variant ?): 01050846-A-2 16
Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, variant ?): 01050846-B-2 17
Matrix / Runout (Side C runout, variant ?): 01050884-C-2 7
Matrix / Runout (Side D runout, variant ?): 01050884-D-2 6 -
Edited one year ago+1 with to what nategwk wrote. The bass is STRONG! If you’re running a subwoofer on your setup you’re going to shake walls on some of the tracks. Your neighbors aren’t going to like you!
This was always a great record to give the Cerwin Vega’s a workout…nothing has changed except I’m old now. :) -
One of the best sounding records in my collection. Everything is clean, bass is strong but tight, no surface noise. Definitely a great copy to pick up.
-
Damn this sounds good. I owned the picture disc and needed to get my hands on a better pressing, this is the one.
-
This shit is fucking unbelievable. Such a great pressing. Sound is crispy. Obviously the only issue is there are less songs on each side but that's to be expected.
-
I bought mine in June 2023. Maybe a newer pressing. Matrix Runouts:
Side A: 01050846-A-2 15
Side B: 01050846-B-2 13
Side C: 01050884-C-2 7
Side D: 01050884-D-2 4
Sound is great. Vinyl is flat. Some surfacenoise. Just paper inner sleeves.
All in all a nice pressing -
The album I ordered from my local store in December 2022 had "Made in Poland" printed in ink directly on the shrinkwrap (not a sticker). The label codes are the same, but the four etching numbers all lack the last digit shown on this page (3,3,1,3). I have less than perfect hearing (mild tinnitus), but it sounds great to me.
-
Too bad it does not have the actual "Doin Time" Bradley vocals. Prefer it over the "Summertime" that Miguel sang.
-
Just opened it to check. It was supposed to be Chris Bellman, but it's this one. I'm going to keep it and hope the reviews are correct. I'll update this when I hear it. There is a "Made in Poland" sticker on the back of my copy of this. Small square sticker on shrink.
