Notes
Some versions have the labels incorrectly reversed on both discs: 1 and 3 are the info sides, 2 and 4 are the logo sides.
'Okx' and 'Glob' are missing compared to regular releases while 'Helikopter' is replaced by 'Spastik'.
'Smak' includes 'Ovokx' which starts at 6:43, but it is not credited on the release.
Durations are not mentioned on the release.
Issued in generic white cover.
Incidental info:
Later copies came with a big round b/w sticker of the dancing "Plastikman" in the upper right corner. Some came with a tab sheet of 400 tiny tabs with the "Plastikman" logo on the back and artist, title and label credits on the front, as well as the information "not all of these tabs are acid - but some of them are".

As stated in the description of other versions of the album, the samples in Smak, are actually from the old American science fiction TV show, "The Outer Limits". Specifically, they are from the pilot episode, titled "The Galaxy Being". Just watched it for the first time last night.
The "grave voice" is actually an alien telling mankind how misguided their ways are, right after the local military/police have shot at it.
The same episode was sampled more extensively by Gigi Galaxy (Gary Martin) for his "Interview With An Alien" EP, on Teknotika Records.
Here is the episode:

Edited 10 years agoI bought this off a guy, without knowing that it lacked Okx, Helikopter, and Glob. Okx is no biggie, but Helikopter, and Glob are 2 I wish I had. I was dissapointed. It does, however, have the banger Spastik, which I can play out, in certain types of gigs. I'll have to get the other 2x LP version, with all the tracks.

The vocal sample "you're all crazy..." on 'Okx' is sampled from Ted Williams "On the edge" from the Bug Jar Compilation - http://discogs.programascracks.com/Various-Bug-Jar-Compilation/release/3302536

Absolutely brilliant! While not necessarily made for the dance floor, this album flows so well and has some legendary tracks and samples. Plasticity, Plasticine, and I think Gak are my faves. Spastik is a lot of fun as well- though it can be a bit overplayed, heh.

hello, was just looking at my copy , i ve got one with the acid tabs, and i noticed that when you put it under u.v lights it makes it appear as though its colour marbled, when you look in ordinary light it looks marbled but in a black negative.also holding up to light it has what appears to be blobs of clear vinyl. has anyone else have similar copy and can anyone comment.

Edited 18 years agoAnd let us not forget...the sheet of perferated acid blotters that came with it containing some verbage on one side and the little spaztik men within the perferations on the other. These, so I'm told, were used to sell in clubs usually with no actual acid added to the blotter !

This album may or may not have been a big influence on your life, but in 1993-'94 it was a big influence on techno as a whole. If you deny that, then you're severely stunted in your perception of reality. The minimalist movement that started in 1995 was largely based on the exceptional influence of this release. What do I think personally? I think it's a great tool if you want to give anyone a well-rounded introduction to the wide, wonderful world of techno, especially if you're here in the States. If you lived in or , it probably didn't have a lot of influence because techno was already well-established. Not a bad album! But I think I like his F.U.S.E. material a little better.
