My quad system is not ready yet, so I am listening to this on 2 channels and it's amazing, better than any version I have.

Just bought a NM copy of this, it is awesome. The clarity and soundstage is phenomenal. The only pressing of this album I personally like better is my Japanese Mastersound half speed pressing (the one that was sold in Japan with an obi, not the US one).

All comments are accurate. So bizzare the last :52 seconds of Side A is the last :52 of Side B. The exact note for note keyboard piece. Maybe it’s meant to be a closure or conclusion. Definitely feels that way.

I'd love to find the track durations for this edition. Not crazy about sitting with a stopwatch to see how much longer this version of Have A Cigar is compared to the original stereo mix.

I wouldn't say that this is the best sounding pressing - but it is a different mix. If you have a Quad/SQ system with 4 speakers, it sounds amazing. If you have a good quality standard stereo 2 speaker system, the mix gets squashed into 2 channels. The vocals and guitars are a bit more prominent but the drums are a bit muddy and subdued. I wouldn't spend hundreds of $$$ for one, but to each their own. I bought mine for $25 years ago (and I'm glad I did!) and wouldn't part with it. It's still a wonderful album in its own right. The Columbia Mastersound gold CD is still one of the best to get of this imo.

We just inherited a copy of this! Still has blue wraparound and sticker. Not one scratch, very exciting :-)

Bought this for $2.50 at a local store. I figured since it was Pink Floyd, the Quadrophonic mix was standard. Much to my surprise however...too bad mine has some cuts on it.
