One of the best records from the last years for me. Great sound, awesome mood and flow. Great for a walk or run through the nature. Loved it from the first song on as I listened it first in 2009 and I still think: This record is awesome!

Quite simply, a stunning album which is highlighted by the rich voice of Jerome Reuter and the very talented Patrick Damiani on the instrumentation / arrangements.

For me at least, I feel that Jerome's voice and singing style are some of the most refreshing in recent memory. A combination of influences by Cave, Waits, and Cohen are to be found at the core of Jerome's vocal essence.

ROME is a thinking person's "group" and I strongly recommend this album and their entire back catalogue. The lyrics are heartfelt, mysterious, cryptic, and thought-provoking. You not only "feel" the rhythm of the music, but the depth of the ion which inspired the lyrics.

Track 07. "To Die Among Strangers" particularly stands out for me. Strong Spanish / Italian / Greek elements and instrumentation. Quite festive ... very easy to imagine yourself present at a very large old European family gathering with much gusto and love / friendship being offered all around.

Please be sure to check out their website and MySpace page.

***** FIVE STARS (More if I could add them).

Enjoy! And I recommend listening to this album using H-E-A-D-P-H-O-N-E-S to best experience the subtle mixture of sounds / Nature and historical samples that comprise this work of art.
