Edited 21 days agoGreat pressing with a really dynamic and encoming sound that fills the room through my setup. Flat, quiet, and no complaints.
Recommended purchase!
Put through a full wash cycle then a full autocycle (wash and dry) on my HuminGuru before being played on a Pro-ject DC Evo with Ortofon 2M Blue, through the MM phono stage of the Cambridge Audio Evo 150, to my ears though a pair of Klipsch Heresy IV.
Please Note: My star rating system is based on my own beliefs and a big part of it is based on the amount of times I will actually play it, or how much that album means to me personally. -
I can’t fault this pressing at all. Dead silent all the way through and the sound quality is fantastic. But with confidence 🤘🏼

I don't really comment much on discogs, but this is such a spectacular pressing that i just had to. The bass and guitar just slam you in your face here. My definitive pressing of one of my favorite albums ever!

Very happy that I picked up this pressing. Love the album and this pressing sounds fantastic. No issues on my system whatsoever

My copy sounds very good! Silent and without distortions. Using an AT LP120x with a microlinear stylus.

Definitely better than what you would hear on streaming platforms. Still a great listen in that comparison.
I do find my Jacket is a little tough to close at times though. The glossy inner sleeves can be a pain to deal with as well. -
Well, after checking all vinyl entries for this album, it would appear that GZMedia/Pirates Press have been doing all reissue pressings of this album starting back with the 2009 reissue release. This is the pressing plant that’s located down in the Czech Republic (or CZ) everyone is mentioning.
I’m not at all surprised to hear that several reviews from each reissue note these pressings sounds like compressed CDrips (aka NOT mastered for vinyl). At best, people have said stuff like “Well, it doesn’t sound BAD…but just not as good as I hoped it would.”
For such a great album, and an iconic one from their catalog, I’m honestly confused why they didn’t give this a proper pressing a few years ago when they’d remastered it for the hi-res 24bit releases.
Oh well, looks like I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for a solid copy of the OG press. It’s the only one that’s had any reviewers actually happy with the sound quality. -
