One of the best folklore variants sound quality wise the colour is a little gross but it will grow on you -
Wow I haven’t listened to any other pressings but mine sounds amazing. One of the best sounding vinyls I have. This really was mastered for vinyl things just sound so different now

Edited 3 years agomine sounds amazing, completely clear with little to no surface noise. The colour is closer to a purple/mauve than a pink, which is closer to the mock up than the pink phrasing :) -
Quite a bit of surface noise on my copy. My teal copy sounds leagues better than this. Both have been spin cleaned so don't believe that's the issue. Oh well. I know to just listen to the teal version in the future. -
I guess that the quality varies from
copies but i originally had this one and to be honest i was so disappointed as i was in actual love with the album but the quality of my copy was awful. i lost hope with the album but i after bought every variant and to be honest it sounds amaaazing in opposition to this one but i guess that some people did have a good copy. -
After running through two copies of the standard brown pressing with bad results, I decided to give this one a try based on other reviews. It's an improvement I would say but still not perfect. Weirdly, Sides 2 and 4 of this pressing sound excellent to me. However, Sides 1 and 3 seem to suffer from the occasional distortion I heard on the standard pressing. Oh well. -
Edited 4 years agoReally solid pressing. Good mastering with a clear sound (good low-end too). The color is nice, and the discs have a really cool effect when held up to the light. The second disc is a bit warped, but thankfully it doesn't affect the sound. I know that other versions of the vinyl are mixed quality, but I can attest to the quality of this one. -

I was shocked to find out that I liked this album upon first listen back at the original release. I listened to it a handful of times then my daughter wanted to get it on vinyl so I took that risk at a higher price point than I like (around $30 shipped). Once again I was shocked. This sounds excellent. The mastering is superb, it has a nice sound stage and clear separation. I am thrilled to have this in my collection.
