Found the all purple version at Target last night far away from the record section. Clearance $12.59
Pretty good score imo. Might just leave it sealed. I say that now, tho...😂 -
I’m am not the biggest Pearl Jam fan but ten, Vitalogy, and vs are some of the best records I’ve ever heard
-
Like many others, my copy has the pops and snaps between songs, but honestly for the price can’t be to salty, over all sound is good. The color is cool.

Found a copy at my local Target today, last one they had. Glad to have another of my teenage formative albums in a nice package.

I picked this up at Target for $17.99, and they had plenty in stock. Not sure why people are trying to sell this for $30+

Decent enough pressing, especially considering the retail price and that it's one of only two colored variants of the album, if I'm not mistaken. But it's a typical MPO pressing, despite a wet clean there's a constant level of surface noise, which is noticable during the quiet parts. Propably not that big of a deal as most of the album is heavy enough.
You can also feel that the mastering is good, but it can't fully shine, the album mostly sounds quite cramped - which isn't suprising considering how much music is squeezed on one side. Almost 29 minutes on side A is just overkill! Of course this has always been the case for vinyl pressings of Ten and isn't the fault of this specific pressing. I just really hope we will get a two disc pressing one day. Overall I'm still happy to have this, plays well enough and looks really beautiful, matching the artwork perfectly. -
From Green River, to Mother Love Bone, to Pearl Jam. Ten is the classic grunge album with 11 songs. Although, despite being considered a pioneering grunge album, the writing holds much closer to classic rock roots. The original demo made its way to Eddie Vedder, a San Diego musician who went surfing and returned to write the lyrics to many of these classic tracks. The band's grooves, with the menacing growl of Vedder, became the sound of a generation. Ten is truly a classic, from song to song, an album that deserves all of its accolades. Unfortunately, this pressing is very pedestrian. Easily one of the quietest records I own, and absolutely needs to be repressed on 2xLP at some point. It's not just the volume that suffers, the bottom end is almost non-existence. While generally a clean pressing, the mix is very flat, uninspiring, and if not for the songs it contained, would itself be completely forgettable. Still, it is that music (and the cool purple color) that will keep it in my collection.

Excellent pressing, sounds better than I've heard on any format. Flat, quiet and powerful. Looks great in the swirled color and the sleeve looks great as well. I agree they could have sprung for a plastic sleeve, as I did have inaudible scuffs from the card stock sleeve, too. Oh well, a pleasure to have.

Worth every penny, tried the special edition one from Best Buy and it was warped AND crappy/damaged spindle holes. Also sounded pretty lackluster. This version is a very attractive magenta (looks solid but when backlit it’s swirled!) and plays great. Crank it up, piss off the old folks!
