Edited one month agoThis is the album that has sent me on a 40 year DJ and Electronic Producer quest that's still ll ongoing.
This and Trans Europe Express helped to create early Hip Hop and Detroit Techno.
This release is profoundly special to my heart. The sleeve is beautiful the enclosed booklet is a treat.
Stone cold classic, has inspired millions of Artist. -
Edited one month agoDopplereffekt, Drexciya, I-F or Miss Kittin, all great producer. But this is the best Electro Album of all time. And this 10 years before in 1981, fantastic!!!!
Was the Color Sticker on the Cover or on the shrink???

This is one of the best remasters on possibly one of the greatest electronic albums ever recorded. I have a couple of original pressings in top condition and this smokes them. The bottom end, overall sonic dynamics and soundstage are incredible. This is Kraftwerk at the absolute top of their game. This record gets better every time I listen to it. It's an absolute must own for anyone who appreciates electronic music.

Sounds great. Awesome range and the packaging is first class. Not sure why others have no treble. This LP is crispy

Edited one year agoMy copy has very weak treble, just midrange and bass. At first I thought my SRA was off, but no degree of adjustment helped. Tried two other different cartridges, same results. Very disappointed as I had very high hopes after reading the comments here.

Edited one year agoThis is the one to get. Sounds so clear and alive, the mix and mastering reveals everything. This should be used to demonstrate to all the naysayers and skeptics that solid-colored vinyl can sound just as good as black vinyl without any doubt.

Edited one year agoFantastic pressing.
Flat, silent and pretty - it reminds me of a lemon Jolly Rancher.
Soundwise? The mastering is great but as others have pointed out, it IS compressed and cut quite hot. Plus the 2009 remasters (which these coloured ones stem from) also used a ton of processing to remove hiss and enhance other frequencies and effects.
This approach definitely makes this mastering stand out when compared to an original which is full of hiss and treble - whereas this concentrates on low end (which the original lacked) and a more pronounced stereo field.
Overall, it’s still a fantastic album and it’s worth it to have it sound as good as it does in this variation.
It is LOUD, punchy, dynamic (!) and has a nice WHALLOP in the low end which may require some subs to be turned down (modern Kraftwerk pressings are all like this)
That being said, my copy was perfect in every way and the large booklet was a nice touch - although the changing of graphics to erase two and replace them with the current ones is a bit dodgy if you ask me. Which you didn’t.
Get it while you can. -

Edited 2 years agoOutstanding remaster of an early '80s Kraftwerk classic, on yellow vinyl. By this time, our heroes have established a refined sound with some great sound synth patches, vocoder effects, and basic sequenced beats.
Pressing is outstanding, with super quiet 180g vinyl. Excellent sleeve and book included.
Recommended. -
Spectacular clear vibrant and retains the sound of the original charming pre-digital warmth with a better pressing than my original. I’m liking.
