it fails across the board for me. it seems to take ideas from a lot of other electronic artists without fully grokking what it's taking and then applying it wrongly.
almost unlistenable to me, and lordy knows I've tried multiple times now. -
A real disappointment. Time for me & Arca to part ways. Just listened again to &&&&& and the self-titled album and this is way inferior, just sounding like hype, ad music and soulless digital tomfoolery. Noisy, posturing and lacking any depth. One for the 'kids' I suppose.

Edited 4 years agoawful job. Riquiqui ... but what bull shit is it???
the most painfull to me is that in importants web to me like bleep put it like the best album of 2020.
2020 was bad , but not so much.
I would no to buy music on bleep I am thinking about it.
Is not the web to people like me is better for riquiqui men.
I would respect all opinions but bleep has let me down. -

When I discovered Arca's music and later imagined his radical way of self-discovery, I thought it would led him/her somewhere unimaginable. Musically and otherwise. Seeing him at the Roundhouse in London a few years ago confirmed my feeling. It was the time the Arca LP was released, following Mutant, a record which I thought made the unimaginable imaginable for some incredible intense moments. I always thought that the somehow pathetic vocals on the Arca LP were a new way to express all the emotions he originally expressed in sound before. KICK opens another door, but it is ,at least for me, not promising. It probably is for people with the same issues , but for me the whole LP is undetermined and weak.
Some familliar sounds here and there, but all in all the new more commercial way will lead into something insignificant.
