Sounds crap compared to a 1970's to 1990's RE, thin on most of the tracks. The bad pressing by MPO screws this one up completely. Sad, as this one is my all-time favourite album. -

Like many others have said, very flat and muddy. Expect better from a studio like abbey road.

Save your money, pick up anything else...this is a terrible pressing. Half speed mastered or not, it sounds awful. The quality of the vinyl is visibly sub par. I will try an acid soak and report back if anything improves. -
Sounds muddy as hell, pure shite. Expected better from an Abbey Road half speed master -
Based on the reviews it appears this mastering is NOT the same as the mastering on the Box Set. I owned the box and thought Sticky Fingers sounded fantastic although not matching an original pressing. I sold a bunch of titles from the box but now buying a few of them back. Reading the poor reviews here I’m confused how this could sound that much worse (except of course for the pressing quality issues). Anyone that owns this as well as the 2018 Box set that can comment?

Bought this and immediately returned it for a copy of the 2015 pressing which is lightyears better than this one. Not sure what happened here, as the Exile on Main Street and Some Girls half-speed masters sound pretty great, but the Sticky Fingers pressing is just flat-out bad: muddled sound, no bass, and lousy dynamics. Go for the 2015 pressing (if not an OG)! -
Is the Half Speed master sold separately the same press as the one in the vinyl boxset 71-16 ? -
only the best from abbey roads half speed mastered digital cuts, i wonder what miles was thinking while he cut this record?
