An excellent record in all aspects.
My favourite with soundtracks for the blind.
Thank you Michael Rolfe Gira. -
-
probably my favourite record in of packaging!!! everything screams quality, feels nice and the actual record sounds sick!!!
-
Really good pressing. Such a great crisp sound and the production is outstanding on this record. Big piece of work to take in but worth the trip
-
The Pressing: Quiet, powerful, quality production.
The Sleeve: intricate, engaging, well made.
The Music: Personally I am getting quite tired of Giras voice and the songs, while gorgeous instrumentals, seen to meander into nowhere. His random shouting might have worked in early No Wave and the “reborn” trilogy phases, but here it is just aggravating. The lyrics are, if anything, creepy and weird, somewhere between Golden Raspberry and Bad Sex award candidates.
Not quite sure what this is meant to be, but especially Side A is the most frustrating and unpleasant Swans there ever was. -
Very sophisticated album. And an actually good pressing without absolutly no noise surface which is a performance today.
