Edited 2 years agoBought this clear version a year ago and still haven't opened it yet. To me, even though I genuinely like the music, I think the history of the genre and this album in particular is more important/interesting.

Arguably the greatest Vaporwave album of all time, this is the album that put the genre on the map. It sounds amazing, and the clear vinyl looks killer in person. Comes with a decent poster as well. I believe this release is technically a bootleg, but you wouldn't know based on its quality. Highly recommend it if you're a fan of the album or the genre.

nicer than i thought. printing on the jacket/labels/poster is all great, and the record sounds pretty decent. not amazing, but definitely able for this album. the only thing is that it's lightly littered with pops n shit throughout, even after a quick brush down. honestly i feel like the shoddiness really fits this album though, so im fine with it (almost prefer it lol). also for some reason, my copy had a black mark on it - it looks like a scratch, but it doesn't affect playback and it's the only black mark on the the pressing.

I keep on seeing people wondering if this is a bootleg, every version is. The album is made up almost completely of uncleared samples, so every version is technically a bootleg.

Guys, I got black version under this catalog number from Juno. Does anyone know anything about black version 1LP? Sounds clear btw but, perhaps, it cut from compressed file.

So is this a bootleg / unauthorized version or not? This listing says so, but I couldn’t find any other information about it online. It’s sold as official from OESB distributors or at least where I bought it online. I guess that may not mean much though.
My copy looks and sounds good, everything seems pretty normal about it. As someone else said, maybe not the greatest pressing - but the original pink one was described the same. Still sounds nice to me though, and glad I got one. -
Got this new from vinyl-digital. Not too bad at all, sound is decent (the original album is prone to some odd sound-quality in the first place), and mine is pressed pretty evenly. Certainly not the most fantastic pressing I've ever heard, but certainly does the job when it comes to having this seminal album on vinyl.

Official release or not, but the quality of my copy is somewhat off. Pretty good, but still far from perfect. Side A is quite noticeably off-center (I nearly dropped the record right after pulling it out of the sleeve). The sound is also affected and the whole side A has noticeably warped sound. Not too critical though as it can be fixed by enlarging the spindle hole or by replaying the record multiple times, as far as I am concerned (did not try the former experiment yet). Side B plays perfectly fine. In addition, I got a pretty dusty record from the sealed sleeve, so a couple of pops were present upon the first run.
The mastering on this release, however, is great and would definitely work for the official release just as it worked for this one. Every sound, be it low or high is heard, and every glitch and chop is in its right place.
The print quality is pretty good. Nothing over-the-top though. Both the sleeve and the poster look just fine. The sleeve on my copy got unglued a little on the bottom though.
Overall, an epic record, with somewhat controversial realisation, I suppose. I was anticipating for a reprint of this album very much, so I do not regret buying this one whatsoever. I would conclude that the clear copy is worth a purchase, but just be aware that some copies have some noticeable (albeit, not critical) manufacturing flaws. -
There's no way of proving any of this, but this clear pressing (as well as the white repress) appears to be privately authorized by OESB but publicly claimed as a bootleg run without the proprietors' permission as a way of selling more units without opening themselves up to legal action on behalf of Vektroid, who is said to have only authorized the initial run of pink vinyl albums. As well, the same person appears to be taking up the persona of a non-existent person called Andy Rickman for UK sales of the aforementioned pink version, though it is also speculated that these are not actually the lost copies of the first pressing that failed to reach most people who ordered them but actually a repress of that variant.

This version is real I ordered mine from a site for like $45 I think? The sound quality is pretty good it uses the cassette version which is now every version online they took down the original digital version so this has some songs that are edited for time. The biggest difference is floral shop the original version has a longer intro this version just cuts to the point which I get cause they had to edit some versions down for time to fit it into the record. This version also has 2 bonus tracks which imo are the best the other bonus tracks didn’t seem like they fit very well on the original version, but that’s another reason some songs were edited so that those could be put on this release. There is like 1 or 2 songs that are actually extended from the original so that’s the only weird thing to me, I’m gonna assume editing some of the songs made it sound more glitched which is the case for some, but this versions the same as the cassette & the final digital version released. Mine didn’t come with a code so I didn’t get zone, but mine did come with the poster so this release is real, I’ve just seen not information on this at all which is so confusing to me because the pink & white ones I see way more than the clear release. This also uses the original artwork the reissue used a censored versions of the cover
