This release is the rare 1st Pressing "Solid Blue" and "Solid Pink" colored vinyl misprint, confirmed by Madonna and recalled shortly after release.
Described as Candy Colored on the hype sticker and shown as White with Blue and Pink splatter in the original promo press announcement, this misprint has each disc with a mostly solid Blue / Pink disc and very faint marbling of White and darker Blue / Pink in the vinyl.

A corrected release with White / Blue and White / Pink colored splatter was later released, pressed by GZ Digital Media.

A mispressed version of this Solid Blue & Pink misprint was also released, with tracks by an unknown artist on Side A.

This pressing is slightly and I mean slightly slightly better than the one pressed by GZ Media. The dynamics are just a tad livelier and I mean by only an amount to split hairs. The bass on this version is slightly heavier. I have this copy and a second disc of the GZ Pressing. You have to A/B the two pressings back and forth several times to really put your finger on exactly what the specific differences are. That being said, it does not matter which one you buy; both are very very good. I wouldn't pay more than 15% more for one version over the other if I had a choice, so do not let it stop you from buying one over the other. That is just my opinion as an experienced listener who used to work in audio engineering if it helps. Both versions have comparable amounts of surface noise between tracks from the pressing itself, so both pressings are of similar quality. This is just a spectacular album.

The sound quality on this solid blue and solid pink misprint release is much better than the "corrected" re-press with the white splatter release in my opinion. The vinyl is almost flawless, with no noise throughout. Better sound profile than the CD and digital releases.

The accompanying 4 Minutes promo remixes LP doesn't sound as good as the album, which I guess is due to the fact that it was pressed on standard black vinyl. Sounds clean, but lacks the clarity, bass, and nuances heard on the solid blue/pink album.

The white splatter version sounds a bit muddled compared to the solid blue and pink version (can be due to the larger mix of color vinyl pellets on the re-release or the new pressing plant that Madonna's team used to do it after the two mishaps at Rainbo).

The vinyl is a must have, and is a perfect example of modern albums being inferior on CD. Many times CDs are the source for LPs and were much more so back then. The CD is so heavy filled with bass and clipping it’s almost unplayable. Voices is a perfect example. The album was clearly mastered very differently for LP and it shines.

You will only hear the rich benefits of the album only if you have a good enough set up. Use a micro line stylus.

Transferred my LP rip to a metal type 4 cassette rather then digital, the difference is night and day. Having been using that as a master tape… erased that horrible pre-recorded audio on the Indonesian tape of Hard Candy and now the case has a tape with new spool that sounds crisp on type 2 chrome 😁.
