Excellent record, and stellar choice of artists and songs. These ladies were the "Sun Sound". It's a shame nobody gives a damn about them anymore. There's so much excellent music out there that (understandably) has fallen through the cracks of time. They were hit-makers just like Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish are hit-makers now. This was (at the time) groundbreaking stuff. The very fact that you had so many talented women churning out great music AND recording at Sun Studios was important and broke out so many great artists.
This Limited Edition RSD release comes with a sticker on the shrink that reads: "Contains tracks from the vaults of SUN RECORDS, selected by people who work in real live RECORD STORES". "LIMITED TO 4000 COPIES WORLDWIDE". -
