Edited 3 months agoMy copy has the runouts of this pressing but mine has the side c Rick Rosst misprint, so does this version have the same misprint as the 2010 version or do I have a different version completely?

Edited 4 months agoThis pressing sounds sooo good, when I first heard Runaway I cried. Crank up the volume on your amplifier and enjoy one of the best albums ever made. This album belongs to that specific category of records that completely fuck up the concept of music you had in your mind. -

Amazing pressing. Sounds wonderful and clearly has care put into it. I love the triple gatefold and I especially love the ability to change the front cover. I do agree though that 3LP is sorta overkill. It makes it difficult to store as, even with my large outer sleeves, everything is very compressed together and makes it hard to remove the LPs out of the back. -

I have nothing to say except that this album is 10/10. Great production, amazing guest verses, absolute perfect sound work and attention to every detail of the album. The album is definitely a golden part of hip-hop history. But I would rate the box set itself at 9/10. The mass is amazing. This is certainly not 180g, it feels like about 120-140g, but in general it is very heavy. I really liked the fact that the vinyl are packed in antistatic bags. I didn't like the way disc 2 and cards with covers are inserted into the box. Not the most convenient design. But in general, it is quite tolerable. It is also unclear why the publication does not have a code for ing a digital album. That would be really cool. Well, or at least the code to the digital version of the movie RUNAWAY. -
The rap album that can best be compared to an epochal masterpiece. Everything, really everything is over the top here. The production, the features... It's probably hard to believe how much time and effort has gone into bringing this rap album out. It borders on a high profile Hollywood film. Also thematically.
Maybe the best Kayne album, that depends on the day of the week you ask me.
Nice triple gatefold, albeit tiring to open as it takes a lot of space to unfold. Unfortunately, the space on the discs wasn't nearly exgausted, if you deliberately don't want to release it as a 2 LP, why not as a 45 RPM? But a man can still dream. Otherwise good pressing. -
Edited 2 years agoI had avoided buying this vinyl for a long time because of its bad reputation, but my pressing sounds very good ! No skipping problem nor overwhelming bass, unlike mentioned in a previous comment.
