This version, really is, the definitive version to own. The guitar sounds, as if it is right there, in the room with you. What a lovely pressing. Although this song does annoy my mam somewhat, though. As she becomes infuriated with John Foggerty continually asking “I wanna know…have you ever seen the rain?” because my mam says that EVERYBODY has seen the rain at some point or another, in their lives. Unless they are blind, in which case, the song should be more considerate of those unfortunate people, and ask instead every now and then “have you ever HEARD the rain?”
