Sony music again. Bad sound again. When buying records, I will not buy a Sony Music press unless I have to.

This version sounds like a fucking hammer amazing, really really good mastering per vinyl. Rumanian version here. Falling in love!!!

Sounds good to me…. Don’t understand the complaints….. maybe I have a better system….. didn’t even have to adjust bass or treble

This is my favorite RATM album. Front to back - filled with bangers.

Sonically, this is a bit of disappointment. Recording and mixing was done by Brendon O’Brien. He is one of the best in the industry. However, the mastering was done to brickwall everything. There is little to no room for the instruments and vocal to breathe in the mix.

If you crank it up, it’s a great listen. If you try to sit through for a front to back listening, you will for sure suffer from ear fatigue.

I don't have any other pressings to compare, but honestly, really cranked up on my system this sounds absolutely excellent! Very powerful and dynamic, NO complaints whatsoever. And, especially for albums that were made at the time this originally came out, I was not expecting much more than a fairly flat, digital sounding mastering like many from that time. NOPE! Sounds great, as well as it's companion pressing of the Debut album. I was able to get a 2-fer on Amazon and they both sound bloody amazing!

What I am listening on, and trust me, I'm not saying my system is the GREATEST, but it really does show up differences in pressings and mastering - Case in point, a lot of the recent 1/2 speed Abbey Road pressings on my system have sounded rather flat and 2 dimensional. Not this baby! 😁

My favorite RATM record, for sure. I really don't understand the comments though, mine is really good without any pops or clicks and mastering is "fine". It's not muddy or too flat.

no pops or clicks, music is great, but I don’t like the mastering at all. everything sounds bad, especially compared to self titled 2012/2015 reissues

Not something special but good copy. No pops and clicks.

I have a variation of the "MPO" stamping (the other etched details match with this pressing and the German PO Box on the sleeve also matches).
                    Side A: MPO 18 35782.
                    Side B: MPO 18 36018.

                    Hope that helps.

Pressing is excellent, by the way.
Bought this to replace my US 1st pressing which unfortunately suffered ghosting from the included slip mat which killed the sound on one side.

Any comments on sound quality of this remaster? Compared to the Mov release?
