Edited one year agoWhile reading the comments I got an impresssion that they speak of a different pressing.
I'm listening to the the third copy of the album at the moment and yes, you got that right, I have bought the album three times.
First two copies had an audible scratch, both in roughly the same spot (b3) and I I had returned them.
Guess what's going on with the third copy. Yes, it's scratched, this time on A3. Fortunately, the track on A3 is louder and the scratch is not as loud and annoying as with the previous two, so I guess I'm keeping this one. I give up.
The mastering is good and the record sounds as it should, however there's a good deal of background noise.
It's disappointing how the record plants treat their work, considering vinyl resurgence and competition. A couple of years ago I would be probably more lenient, but not today.
I'm into Japanese music and have some contemporary pressings made there in my collection. The difference in pressing quality is enormous.
Oh, I've just noticed, it's warped too. So much for "super sweet pressing". I'm sending this garbage back. -
Edited 2 years agoI concur:
- cover is thick as a Japanese OG,
- record is clean, flat & sounds great.
WRWTFWW have clearly stepped up their game!
Could have been better:
- an anti-static sleeve
- a real OBI
- OG labels repro -

Edited 6 years agoNice sound and nice pressing. Nice rich, detailed sound on this reissue. Separation and clarity is nice, the music sounds open and full, creates a nice atmosphere. Punchy drums and deep bass. Sounds great. Comes in a printed inner sleeve but the record was clean and free of defects. Played flat, centered correctly and most importantly it's super quiet, maybe a couple stray clicks and pops but hardly noticeable. Super clean sound. I'm happy with this one. Very nice music.
