Organic Cloud is quintaessential pure "cosmic ambient" as I call this kind of works. On the highest top along with other Tetsu's mastermind works.
It's nowadays a very rare item. Even the AW re-release is extremely scarse.
If you find a copy, every euro you pay for grabbing It it's totally worth. Essential. -

If you dont know this one,you don't know nothing about ambient. A Legendary album from Japan master-mind Tetsu Inoue.

Edited 14 years agoHow can mere words describe what sounds lay within this album? Well, it’s tough to be sure. this is the second solo record that tetsu inoue made for FAX, although his output at this time was legendary, not only for his solo works, but also for the collaborations with pete namlook and atom heart, whom he recorded several albums with apiece. I mention all of this because his entire cannon of work from this phase in his career is ESSENTIAL for any fan of ambient music, casual or otherwise. organic cloud slightly edges out the others for me, but only because for the longest time (back in those pre-internet days, when getting good music actually required hard work!) the only song I could get my hands on was Chill in/Chill out, a brilliant track that was included on the second FAX compilation released by instinct records. When I finally got this I was floored at how sublime and truly "Zen" if I can go there, the sounds were. This is not overly rhythmic ambient, nor is it straight isolationist drone works, its somewhere in-between, and perhaps one of the best examples of pure "ambient" out there. Please don't think I mean disrespect when I say that Inoues' work eclipses Eno's in most regards, but this is something I have come to accept as fact. It’s just that good. and now with many of his released available for digital purchase and even some represses showing up on Ambient World, if you have not been lucky enough to start scooping some of these early releases, this is your time. keep in mind that after the album "world receiver" inoue explored a phase of glitch/music concrete/elctro-accoustic albums, which are all great, but not the sound that I refer to with such reverence here, although his last two albums for FAX (inland and 2350 Broadway 4) return to his more pure ambient sound. So consume with glee! Don’t be frightened off by collaborations, as anything inoue touches turns to pure audio gold. If you have nothing so far: start here, and be sure to think carefully about the title and make the appropriate preparations before you begin.
