Nice packaging, vinyl is flat and very quiet. Only issue is that the sound is not very good, very far from an audiophile pressing.

I have no issues with it. Quiet and well pressed. Mastering is probably from digital files but that's OK with me as I wasn't expecting original. Good Sound Stage, Good Fun Listening.

Mastering is great. The album sounds great, no surface noise, no warp album, good pressing condition. It’s said to read here that some people have different copies.
On my album they don’t mention the country of pressing. Only “ made in the eu 00602557681949”

Mastering is spot on. Not sure if my pressing is German or GZ media in the CR. Content sounds, like it was probably mastered from digital files, which would be excepted from a modern compilation. Overall I think it sounds detailed, and it shows the detail, it’s crankable to the 11s. Surface noise and pops are there but not too much of a distraction. When bought removed from picture sleeves due to the waxy material, which makes getting a record out a wrestling match. Placed in poly liners 3 years ago, vac cleaned tonight with cleaning solution, rinsed with distilled water, vaccumed that off. No complaints. Bob Ludwig as always doing a great job. Maybe I’m lucky with my pressing? Can’t fault then music itself though.

Idk if I just got lucky, but my copy sounds crisp. No surface noise at all. Maybe they fixed the issues? Was made in . Great tracklist.

I too was a poor and misfortunate soul who purchased this album for $70 brand new, being able to play a record that you could sing or hum along with because it's one of those records where you know all the songs. Then I started to see the reviews here and my heart sank. Upon opening the album, I too found that both records looked like they'd had the contents of a vacuum bag emptied upon them prior to packaging. Both records play abysmally, crackling, hissing and surface noise through at least 4/5's of both records. I think Elton John has a lot to answer for and the least he could do is release a decent pressing which I would be happy to purchase, although I'm now out of pocket a lot of money because Elton probably wanted to splurge on a decent Christmas much to the detriment of his fans. What an overindulgent, self obsessed wanker.!

The album per se is good but the pressing is terrible. On Side A my stylus jumps all the time which clearly ruins such great songs like "Your Song".
