Did A-B comparison between this pressing and the 24/96 hi-res stream on qobuz. On my system, this pressing sounds better than the hi-res stream. The vinyl sounds less compressed to me, with more presence and detail. And my used copy is very clean and quiet.
Just a great album from top to bottom. -
Very clean and quiet vinyl. You’ll love the music if you know Metheny or Mays. I do love this recording.
Enjoy it while streaming. The vinyl is a step up on my system. -
My copy of this LP is pressed on translucent brown vinyl. It appears black unless held up to a strong light source.

Edited 3 years agoThis is a fantastic sounding 2-disc live recording. And it is not even the best live Pat Metheny record out there. What a time to be alive!
Sides 2 and 4 is where most of the magic happens, IMO. Seriously, there are some tremendous group playing and arrangements happening in here. Solos are marvelous, and yet they represent spaces between the amazing ensemble ages.
I can't say enough, other than you should own this record.
This pressing sounds incredible.
