It would be blasphemous to call this record anything less than outstanding. It is a sublime and unique work by Stockholm-based composer Kali Malone. The first piece being recorded in dismantled nuclear reactor R1 Reaktorhallen with Peter Söderberg on theorbo, as evident on the cover, and Malone herself with a pair of Studer B67 reel to reels. Side B involving subtle sine waves, reel to reels and bowed gongs. The last piece, 'In Light of Marwa', described as "(...) sine waves and strings playing justly tuned harmonic information derived from the Indian Raag Marwa", is hauntingly gorgeous. A pastel blend of tonalities flows peacefully like the purest, red blood.
