While clearly not a great pressing overall sonically but nevertheless can easily be enjoyed with the volume higher. A terrific album with few if any songs that true ATCQ fans could truly consider skipping, in my humble opinion their greatest sounding LP as I prefer it just a smidge over TLET! Due to my favorite Tribe song, Award Tour, other jams like Verses from the Abstract, Electric Relaxation, Lyrics to Go, God Lives Through, Midnight, 8 Million Stories, The Chse Pt II, We Can Get Down, Oh My God, and Sucka Nigga! Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Phife Dawg are in my Opinion are all at the peak of their powers even after having to follow up such a respected, appreciated and highly influential hip hop classic LP as The Low End Theory! Midnight Marauders just improves on the formula from its magnificent predecessor and takes the Tribe sound to the next level higher!

Wouldn't be a goood copy to play out if you're a DJ, too quiet like others mentioned. But for the price it's not bad, a classic hip hop album that belongs in your collection!!

Just picked this up from Walmart for $19. Overall levels low as commented on by others, just turn volume up a bit and mix is punchy and well balanced. Surface is dead quiet, even with increased volume. I find humorous many comment on pops and clicks that are present in the many samples throughout. You guys need to bring that up with Q-Tip, nature of and appeal of early 90’s sample based rap. Biggest negative is nasty, but playable edge warp as observed by others.

Quiet pressing had to turn my speaker amp near distortion levels where a normal pressing would be destroying my hearing.
