Foreigner – Foreigner

Funny, there's no listing of this album as a USA Promo on Discogs. I have one. It has a timing strip and a hole punch on the cover but no gold stamp. The record label is a standard issue (not a White Label) and there's no Promotional indication on the record label. It's a Monarch Pressing and there's no HANNAH in the runout

I picked this up sealed on the cheep and of course it was warped! Ok, cleaned it and let it rip now here’s my two cents. First off I’m not a huge Foreigner fan so I have nothing as far as original pressings in my collection to compare this MOFI release too. Does anyone else when Carl from Aqua Teens wore that Foreigner belt in the “revenge of the mooninites” episode? 😂
Anyway my copy is pretty quiet with no unwanted noise or interference but honestly this pressing falls kind of flat on the music delivery in my opinion. These songs should really be rocking but this press brings the mood down to a very quiet party.

This pressing is horrible. MOFI should be ashamed of themselves. It's thin sounding and lifeless. Definitely not worth the money.

Love the music. I've always found the mix on this album has too much treble but I suppose that's how it was intended. Pressing is great quality

Got this record for the hits and nostalgia factor but was not prepared for how big, full and crisp the sound is on this! Star rider and the lesser known offerings (to me) where a revelation and I was sad to see the last song run out. Two things: new respect for the production values and amazing mastering from RKS/plating from QRP make this another must have from the Atlantic 75 series.

Well it happened. I finally received a warped album from AP. Oh well shit happens but you'd never know it by listening to it only watching it spin. Record Doctor clamp takes care of it. If you don't have one give it a shot. Best $30 you'll ever spend. By the way this version embarrasses the Mofi counterpart as I knew it would cause this isn't one of Mofis better offerings.

Have to agree the sound on this one is great. Mine has very minor edge warps, think I’m going to stick with it.

Outstanding. Absolutely mind blowing. Sounds great, it’s like discovering this album for the first time, even though I know it very well. As usual, the cover is also amazing! All Analogue Productions releases I’ve heard so far, are of an exceptional quality! Love it. P.S. My records were perfectly flat.

This record is incredibly wavy. It seems that an entire series is affected, because I have already sent two records back and the third record is also very wavy. The sound is outstanding and there are no clicks or background noises. Does the quality of the record actually deteriorate if you “iron” it?
