Jon Brion – Meaningless

i came to know this album through my so beloved robyn hitchcock, who praised it on it's patron site.
so i bought it without listen before and was blown away by it.
this is a perfect classic british pop album with indie infusions, which sounds wonderful.
he is such a great songwriter. i would imagine that he listened a lot of beatles as a child vis his parents, later indie music as inspiration, but that is speculation and does not matter.
this is in my mind a must have or at least must check out for any fan of highly melodic pop music with depth.
i am really happy to discover this rare pearl and thanky robyn for his recommendation.

Trouble remains one of my favorite songs of all time. So glad to finally have this on vinyl after 20+ years!

I’ve owned the CD since it was released and always dreamed someone would one day reissue it on vinyl. This is a nice, quiet pressing. It sounds warmer and smother than the CD, though, in my opinion the digital that is included seems a little too bass heavy on some songs and has a little more boost in the treble than the original pressing. Of course the songs and arrangements and production are masterful. If you’re a fan of Jon Brion or just excellent classic pop songwriting and clever productions, you need this! Jon, if you happen to read this, please make another solo album.

Amazing album, so glad it's finally on vinyl. Sound quality was great, and cool color variant to complement his outfit on the back. Always nice when there's a real inner sleeve and/or gatefold. Thanks Jealous Butcher!

such a beautiful and well-rounded album. hanging for the day we got a vinyl release of this album. about as close to a perfect 10 as they come!
