The record sounds very alive. Fusion music at its peak. The drums sounds very dynamic. Overall EQ is also very pleasant.

Edges the Speakers Corner cut. The vinyl isnt as flat, pristine or quiet but the sound is livelier with more impact. I have the AF gold cd and look forward to level matching and shoot out no.2!

Groundbreaking record on so many fronts. The interplay between musicians is nothing short of stunning. This record, almost more than any other, jumpstarted the fusion genre, but it's not mindless and speedfreak drivel. Its songs that are well thought out and played with incredible skill. Too bad this was the last record with this lineup.

One of the best albums sound and music-wise in my collection

An excellent reissue. Definately quieter vinyl than the Friday Music pressing. Also bang on center. I think the FM has slightly better rendition of the kick drums and bass and also a bit silkier top end on those many crashes but its very close and i wouldnt hesitate to simply keep and love this copy if id not heard the KPG cut done for Friday Music. As it stands i think i will keep em both for referencing upgrades down the line!

Splendid sound! But I hate that non-removable sticker on the sleeve. Why not on the sealing? I know who is Mahavishnu Orchestra anyway.

Clean vinyl with no surface noise or defects. Mastered really nice.

Don't hesitate on this one. Sounds great. Anything better than this pressing is splitting hairs.
