This sounds very good. Disc 2 was slightly warped, but not too bad. Doesn't sound compressed or overly loud. Good reissue.

Really great box. The remastered album sounds great, and the extra songs included on side 4 are sweet. Live album is also killer. All discs are flat with no problems whatsoever. Great addition for any Hip fan’s collection

Edited 11 months agoBought brand new sealed. Both records are warped and not very well centered. Sides A and C sounded terribly noisy out of the sleeve, but it got fixed for the most part after a good cleaning, fortunately. So, the pressing quality is quite okay, no major flaw sonically, quiet for the most part (thanks pressing it on two LP). Sound and mastering are both very good and enjoyable. Especially the drums, which is sounding pretty good in of impact punch and timbre. Soundstage and separation are also quite good. A very good Hip album, a no brainer if you're a fan. Recommended. 4.75 / 5

In my opinion, the greatest modern rock album ever recorded. It’s one of the worst tragedies that The Hip will never get the global recognition they so deserve, but I’m sure some of that has to do with the songwriting which is so thoroughly soaked in Canadian culture and folklore. Anyway, this pressing is 10/10, dead quiet, and the mastering is to my ears, superior to the original CD.

Excellent dynamic range and soundstage. Treble rolls off just a bit but ideal for loud listening. Fantastic full pressing.

Edited 3 years ago4.5/5 stars - No whooshing at all on my copy. Was blown away by bass and drums on this LP ! Powerful with nice soundstage on my setup. Was like hearing it again for the first time. Yes, mine proves there are clean new copies out there, and yes this is a better pressing than the usual GZ media deliver, which are rarely quiet. I try to avoid GZ when I can.

Edited 3 years agoMost recent (2021) review speaks of a 'whooshing surface noise throughout'- can anyone else confirm their copy also suffers from this defect, or are there good pressings out there as well? I don't want to spend $30+ on a bad pressing. Thanks!

Disappointed. I'm a huge Hip fan and wanted badly to own one of my favorites on vinyl. Mine has a persistent whooshing surface noise throughout. Cleaned them twice and still remains.
