Chappell Roan – Pink Pony Club

Bought this unknowingly in my local record store not knowing it was the original pressing.

The image is poorly reproduced. Looks much better in this photo. It looks dark like a xerox copy almost in person. Also — the songs are available in Risde and Fall to a Midwest Princess. Save your money. Discover new music.

Not to judge — but a faction of the vinyl collectors are frankly idiots. Someone once paid $750 for this. It is available in several retailer outlets for about $15, sometimes less. And I’m still not getting it. Why? Because both of these tracks are available in her full length album Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (which has been available for almost a year and a half; including when this single was released at RSD). I could understand chasing down Good Luck Babe (with its b-side on the back), two ‘non-album tracks. But this? Why would anyone covet it so much?

Any differences between this and the tracks on Midwest Princess? I can see Good Luck Babe worth seeking as it has a non-album single but here you’re buying material again correct?

Lots of surface noise at the beginning of the record, you don't hear it in the loud parts but it really bothered me at the beginning of the song.

So there is still a certain fairness in the vinyl business after all, where everyone has a fair chance of getting their desired product without having to feed the sharks with significantly inflated prices - Courtesy now of the artist, her management and her record label, who have repeatedly and recently reissued Chappell Roan's popular hit. It was about time and THANK YOU !

This record is also a prime example of the vinyl business, after years of excesses, finally returning to some sort of normality. For far too long, vinyl has been viewed as "just" another gimmick artifact for some “fans” (most of whom don't even own a turntable, according to U.S. entertainment data company Luminate; 2023) and the terrible arbitrageurs who make a living off of it.

The long-time, true vinyl-aficionado has too often been left behind. The vinyl hype is over at last, and by that I mean only the "hype" part 😉.

If you really love this media, you can finally get your beloved vinyl again in large enough quantities and at reasonable prices. The just released Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club on one of my five turntables 🎧😃🎶.

A perfect example of how patience pays off. A very nice 7" release with an inner sleeve, and virtually identical to the RSD First release.

Has anyone noticed that some of the repress ones have made in Canada stickers and others have made in Czech Republic stickers like the original press? Are there any differences?
