The final Beatles single.
The A-side was originally recorded as a demo by John Lennon in 1977. The cassette tape was given to Paul McCartney by Lennon's widow Yoko Ono. During the sessions for the Anthology CD box sets in 1994, McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison worked on the tape with producer Jeff Lynne, but quickly abandoned the song due to the inferior sound quality of the recording and Harrison, reportedly, disliking the song. They did, however, finish two other Lennon demos, Real Love, which were released as singles.
McCartney and Starr went back to work on the song in the early half of 2023, after film director Peter Jackson was able to isolate Lennon's vocals from the demo tape using machine learning technology. It was released on Thursday, November 2, 2023, as the last single release by The Beatles, double A-sided with a stereo mix of the group's debut single, Love Me Do.

It's able. There's nothing to really say about this one. -
It was inexpensive,sounds fantastic,being 12 inches,and the other versions being 7 inches it might sound less compressed which it kind of does to me,being 12 inches. -
Edited 7 months agoyou could run over any pressing of this song with a truck, a steamroller and have it tastefully decorated by an iHop employee and the mix wouldn't be any more flat. Clearly missing that Lynne magic that made Real Love and Free As A Bird so fantastic. if the original 1995 version sounded close to this, Harrison was clearly correct in vetoing it's finish. Lennon's original solo demo, on the other hand, is fantastic and has the bridge that N&T is severely lacking. As a song, it just really wasn't needed after the amazing bookends of the 1995 Threetles session.

It fits perfectly in my 2019 singles collection box set which is a very nice touch, also the song is beautiful.

While it’s cool to own a small part of Beatles history, this just sounds fake. A.I., try again. The song itself, and the melody, is quite good. But overall, this is an obvious knock-off of a very unpolished Lennon tune. -

There is a sticker "Made in ", On my copy, So I am sure it's the same as the Worldwide 12" Black Vinyl.
Anyway the quality is excellent - a 4 minute track on one side of vinyl @ 45 RPM. -
people nowadays would say " how much compression do you want ?" " YES " ... more compression is not possible and no dynamics at all
