Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft – Gold Und Liebe

A friend of mine brought me my copy from when it came out. Still sounds pretty good, both the original vinyl and the music... had the 12 inch of Der Mussolini too... I think that one got lost in the mists of time...

The vinyl on my copy is translucent dark purple-ish when held up to a light

DAF continued to dazzle with their second Virgin release: "El Que" takes their sound to a new level adding latin/tribal elements, and "Absolute Körperkontrolle" is just a different kettle of fish altogether, like some kind of otherworldly maschinen-volk song, stripped to the barest essentials, just absolutely mesmerizing! "Greif Nach Den Sternen" is the epic album closer, while "Was Ziehst Du An Heute Nacht" and "Verschwende Deine Jugend" will keep anybody who liked their previous album quite satisfied.

less convincing than former albums as "Alles Ist Gut", "Produkt Der Deutsch Amerikanischen Freundschaft" or especially "Die Kleinen Und Die Bösen", this album contains but two killers: "Absolute Körperkontrolle", a pure master-piece of Görl fucking his sequencer and "Verschwende Deine Jugend", an old piece which had not been available on an album before. so finally it's worth the money if you get it second hand.
