It hasn't been since 1997's "Columbian Necktie" that a Front Line Assembly single could send as literal and as bold a jolt of industrial excitement into this soul of mine. Those sturdy textures and layers are back! The formidable beats and rendered vocals are fantastic. 2003's "Maniacal" was the comeback that all of us waited for...um I think it was a longer time coming!
The bonus tracks are instant favorites. We get two from the electronic camp the Leeb is famous for: The electro-guitar aggressive (and beautifully melodic!!) "Angriff" will be an instant favorite for those fans of "Millennium" and "Hard-Wired" but the impressive bliss of "Endless Void", the final track here, is just outstanding. A soundtrack to a science fiction ambient storm gone awry. Excellent! The album is sure to not disappoint!
