This sounds phenomenal. Thick AND bright, plenty of punch, and Prince’s voice is well balanced.

I just gave this LP a spin and thought it sounded great. Another top notch Bernie Grundman mastering job. My album has a gold promo stamp on the front along with the "Uptown" hype sticker and a black sticker from programmers to "please audition prior to airing."

My copy is a combination of this etching on side one, then an amalgamation of a couple reissues apparently... Side 1 of my copy has “BSK-1-3478 JW1" and “0” etched in very deeply, which is the exact match for this copy. Then it also has “#3” lightly etched after the initial “JW1,” which still matches this copy. But then it begins to differ in that it has labels from an 83 reissue and it has "SR1-4" lightly etched beside the “#3.” Then it switches completely and has the exact etchings from another reissue with the same label, “BSK-2-3478-SR1 1-1.” Hah… I don’t get it. lol. There is a Jacksonville Reissue that has the same etchings on side 1, minus the “#3.” But its possible they just missed the “#3” because its VERY light on my copy, however they did list “#9” and something else on the B variant of that listing, so yeah, I’m at a loss completely…

HEAD is some of the freakiest shit Prince has ever done. Absolute genius. Solid album. Vinyl sounds amazing.
