Edited one year agoI'm not too familiar with the genres here, but the music is varied and fantastic, some even familiar. The sound quality is often better than a few of the supposed audiophile reissues I've brought. The icing is the flat, shiny clean, poly sleeved vinyl in an attractive thick quality gatefold. Kinda like the person below said, but with more words.

The biggest disappointment of RSD 2023 was there wasn't a Soul Slabs Vol. 4. This is one of my fav purchases ever. -
Stellar pressings and presentation, as usual from Colemine! And it certainly doesn't hurt that the music is fantastic.

Packaging and quality of the pressing are superb. No issues whatsoever. Definitely recommend. My only qualm is I hate the translucent color of the vinyl. To me the red makes it feel like a cheap toy. -

If only Colemine made the Soul Slabs compilations available on CD... -

Not only is this a fantastic compilation of great tracks by deserving bands, its details are there to impress. The anti-static sleeves, the lost art of tip-on jacket pressed on (seemingly recycled) cardboard make this a class act. A must-have. Let’s hope they’re as generous to their act roster as they are with their product. -

Every single song on this compilation is killer! Great modern soul music that sounds classic but not dated. Sound and pressing are great too. -

Solid compilation. My only minor complaint is that a lot of these tracks are on the Brighter Days comp (Release Feb 2021). Other than that, a quality release. -

This is just one more essential release, from the label "Colemine". Containing delights from the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, the Harlem Gospel Travellers, and Ben Pirani (amongst a plethora of others) this double lp set contains enough swinging funk and heart-wrenching soul to meet your needs, whether that be dancing around your front room in a pair of tight, elasticated rubber hot pants, or engaging in sweet, and sensual, sexual activities with your lovely girlfriend. Simply, wonderful!! -

Colemine is one of the best labels out there right now. Incredible artists and their vinyl is always top quality both in sound quality and presentation. Grab one of these comps and see what the hype is all about. You won't be disappointed.
