Goldie – Timeless

Great Goldie album. I'm playing my CDs more than my records these days. I'm buying them again too .

Why the fuck is timeless not on this?? They seriously couldn’t have made a 3xLP to fit the title track?

Having just bought the 95 vinyl, and seen Timeless/Inner City Life is not on it, this is the version I need! Anyone want to swap?

There seems to be missing text/pages in my booklet for the cd...? Anyone else experienced this?

This album is a gift to mankind like "Electric Ladyland", "Beggars Banquet", "Heart Of The Congos". Always new since I have first been able to listen. BUT: Even, yes, there's a little noise on the opening track before the drum kicks in, and, yes, it has been cut at album volume, of course: never before have I heard such a big bad bass, just listen to the "Jah" sequence of the title tune!!! Absolutely amazing. The new CD sounded a bit different to what you we're used to hear, but still nice. This vinyl version is such... well, PERFECT is a word way too humble to describe it. Like every five years or so I fell in love with this great piece of art again... and I feel this time it will last forever...
Special thanks to Lewis Hopkins, apart from the great impression already described, the album has a near perfect channel seperation , and the vocals are presented in the most beautiful way.
Many guys big themselves up, but Goldie knew what he did when he called this one "Timeless". It definitely is a timeless classic, now at last presented in vinyl in its entirety PLUS two beautiful mixes of "Sensual" and "Kemistry". Bought mine late (just received today, June 24th in 2023), could not afford it immediately, but now that I could I am massively impressed. If you have the money and still think about it: don't think for too long...

A side is not 3 seperated tracks but a mix of the three tracks. If you are looking for inner city life to mix it, you should look elswhere....

Where I can hear some quietness on all these tunes I just up the gain and add some dynamics to the eq and it sounds fantastic. Although some of the highs feel a bit tinny on a few tracks, but nothing that sounds too out of place w other tunes of the era imho.

Just got done playing some of the album on my show mixed against other tunes and it sounded exceptional. Very pleased to have this and finally get the entire Timeless tune all together on vinyl (and it is the best sounding side of the entire album imho, so even bigger win).

What more can you really ask for?
