Solid pressing, had no skips or noise on my copy - clean sounding LP, with a mix that really brings some life to what was a pretty flat CD. It’s a great album that didn’t really get a lot of love on release.

Edited 3 years agoMy copy overall sounds pretty great, but it's just a little quiet. Otherwise a very nice pressing and the record itself is beautiful..

This is a heavily underrated album that did not get the critical response it deserves. Unfortunately, it also did not get the pressing it deserves here. For the most part, the music quality is actually quite good. The pressing itself, however, it pretty darn noisy. There are audible clicks on top of the surface noise, even after cleanings. I could see why this album would skip, especially on lower end players with no counter weight.
THAT ALL BEING SAID. The vinyl itself is GORGEOUS. The smoke look is great. And honestly, the music is loud and full enough for most of the album that you don't really hear the noise all that much. You'd only hear it in quite moments and between tracks. May take this one in for an ultrasonic clean... if that noise turns out to be just super deep seated dirt, than I would maybe even all the pressing perfect.... but if not... -

No skipping on my copy. Bit of noise between tracks but nothing that bothers me. Lovely pressing/mastering. Am noticing production details I missed on cd mastering. Vocal reverb here and there, and some lovely subtle synth work. Bass seems far more prominent too. Still think clumsy is my personal favourite but happiness is by no means shabby

Anyone else's copy skip like crazy on side A? Not a great start as I'm sitting here listening to it.....

Edited 6 years agoI'm not even going to ask why this is one of there albums that seems to favor CD a lot. Oh wait, I did technically ask that, oh well. Maybe it didn't sell well, I honestly think this is soooooooooo underrated.

Sure hope they release a vinyl LP of this in 2019 for the 20th anniversary...so much great music from them and many other Toronto/Canadian indie bands of that era
