Laibach – Opus Dei

Why do you need to ask where the signed card was from? You've already said in the listing that it was from the Laibach WTC store

Of the bonus tracks, 1-10 Leben Heißt Leben (Marche Funèbre Version) is the version originally on the B-side of the single Laibach - Geburt Einer Nation.
1-11 Geburt Einer Nation (3. Oktober - Kraftbach - Version) is from Laibach - 3. Oktober - Geburt Einer Nation
But 1-9, Geburt Einer Nation (Eine Richtung Und Ein Volk Version), is new to me. The 1987 single just had the album version. Anybody heard this before?

Sounds nice. Is this a start of their re-release series with more Laibach vinyl titles to come?

Hard to define, superb to listen. Opus dei is one of the weirdest, most influential albums ever released in the eighties. Five stars

So, apparently, for the Yugoslavian edition John Heartfield's axe-swastika artwork was removed from the innersleeve, completely ignoring that it was taken from a famous anti-nazi manifesto. It seems once again Laibach proved the absurdity and contradictions of the regime they were born into.

My copy is only lightly embossed on back sleeve. Has anybody got informations on this ?
Is the original pressing embossed on front sleeve too ?

This needs a nice vinyl reissue - Kevin Gray could do the mastering, and I will shell out the money for it....big time !

Great album. I had it played when my cleaning people came by. I apologized as this style of music is not for everyone. But they all enjoyed it and thought it was a good and varied album.
