Nelly Furtado – Loose

Like somebody else mentioned, some of the interludes are missing and Promiscuous is an alternate version.

When Promiscuous originally started leaking before Loose was released, several different edits of the song wound up on filesharing services. To my knowledge, the version on this vinyl version is not one of those leaks! The way the song is arranged makes me think it's an earlier mix too, which is a treat to hear.

Some of the other songs sound like they may be slightly, almost unnoticeable alternative mixes.

So. They fucked up. Like big time. Promiscuous is some sort of demo/alternate mix and the interludes are all missing. The fact that it happened in the first place and never got corrected at any point in production is kind of insane BUT for what it is I love my copy, it sounds great. Promiscuous is a little different but close enough for me and the mastering on this is great, it captures the glowing synths and booming percussion that make this such an intoxicating and intriguing listen in the first place. Hopefully they fix the issue but I love my copy even tho it’s a mispress

Can anyone confirm if the interludes are on this version or if the unfinished master is on all the newer pressings?

Hope this helps someone wondering what actual record sounds like. Some people are so nitpicky.

I don’t care what others say, but this version’s soundstage is excellent. It sounds perfect. I can’t speak on others but this is it. Never knew this sound so good.

Has the same issue as the red/white release. Said here by others. Interludes missing and some songs sound like demos/unfinished releases. I don’t see a listing for the signed cover she did so I’m just going to add my copy here. So so so so so thankful to have a signed one from her. I love this album.

For those wondering what happened with this pressing, apparently, the fine folks at UMG mistakenly sent an early test pressing out instead of the final master, so that's why it's different masters and demos, and why the interludes are missing. No word on when/if they'll be rectifying the issue.

To me, disc 2 is punchier comparing to disc 1. Therefore, Promiscuous seems to lack it as well. It also appears a bit quieter to me than other songs
