Notes
The Marshall Mathers LP is the third studio album by American rapper Eminem. It was released on May 23, 2000, by Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records, and Eminem's newly founded label, Shady Records in the United States, and on September 11, 2000, by Polydor Records in the United Kingdom. The album was produced mostly by Dr. Dre and Eminem, along with The 45 King, the Bass Brothers, and Mel-Man. Released a year after Eminem's breakout album The Slim Shady LP, the record features more introspective lyricism including the rapper's response to his sudden rise to fame and controversy surrounding his lyrics.
The album sold more than 1.78 million copies in the US in its first week alone, becoming the fastest-selling studio album by any solo artist in American music history. In 2001, the album won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and was nominated for Album of the Year. Eminem lost the latter to jazz-rock duo Steely Dan and their album Two Against Nature. The album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in March 2011 for shipping 10 million copies in the United States. By December 2016, the album had sold over 11 million copies in the United States and more than 32 million copies worldwide. A sequel to the album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, was released on November 5, 2013.

Edited 2 days agoGreat sounding record. A timeless Hip Hop classic!
Absolutely destroy the both first press Eu/Usa CD edition that I own and I listened it from the release date May 2000...long time ago.
Another example that Vinyl (sometimes) are far better than CD.
Don't forget to check runout code MATT - P it's the one to buy. Repress share same barcode. -

My copy came with two copies of disk 2, which is somewhat ridiculous. If anyone got two copies of disk 1, send me a message I guess.
-
I second the previous comment; mine came with a "Vinyl Made In Mexico" on shrink and this vinyl sounds amazing. I've been listening to it for a few days and it truly blows the digital out of the water. Also purchased "The Eminem Show" also "made in Mexico" but it doesn't sound as vicious and voluptuous as this pressing. I've compared them and The Marshall Mathers LP is the better pressing; satisfied with both since the reviews of "The Eminem Show" pressing have been so bad. My copy also reads "Kim" on side D but has "Kids." Amazing pressing, highly recommended. "Made in Mexico" pressings kinda hitting more consistently than the Canadians or the Czechs

Just got mine from Amazon Mexico. Both records feel like 180g ish. The record runout only throws this edition, no just insert, Vinyl Made In Mexico on shrink wrap, and it has “The Kids” instead of “Kim”. So, i don’t know. I'll keep it though, just confused.

So this is a weird one. My vinyl has the runout for this EU release. 00606949063016 for record one and 00606949063015 for record two. But my labels and the back of the sleeve are all like the other US versions currently listed on Discogs. All the songs are the explicit version, but I have "The Kids" in place of "Kim". Record one weights 185g and record two weights 176g.

My copy sounds very good. Unfortunately my copy has record one twice and does not have the second record. It is not a label problem. They simply put record 1 in the jacket twice.
-
Trying really hard to figure out if whether or not I have this copy or not. My records weight in at just a bit more than 120 grams, and the shrink wrap has the hype sticker saying "featuring the real slim shady, criminal and marshall mathers. (I think those were only found on the original US and EU copies? It also has 'Kim' on it, and not 'Kids' as I know later reissues have. The matrix numbers check out, but I know some reissues also have the same matrix. Can anyone chime in?
