I've listed many of the UK Funky Vinyls on discogs and frankly it baffles me the prices they have achieved in a shorter space of time. Tunes which take sometimes over 20-25 years to get to a price above £100 ie some Drum n Bass tracks, UK Garage, Grime even Dubstep (formed in 2003 yep its 21 years old as a genre!!). UK Funky started (picking up to mainstream ears) around 2009/10. Yet here you have a mint copy selling for £100 of this vinyl (29/04/2024) less then 15 years after its release. Its sad this genre never picked up the attention at the time so artists could see the demand and a repress could be done for others to enjoy also. This genre is a mix of vinyl and digital. So many tracks were digital only, but just as many were vinyl only, thus alot of gems wont be ever be reissued on digital. -

Varied mixes, but I presume everyone is here for the Crazy Cousinz one, a cornerstone UK Funky tune. Sort of progressive, but underlaid with that lovely creeping bassline & the vaguely tribal Couzinz idents. Very smooth, but extremely moreish. Lovely piece on Pitchfork about how this ended up being used on the Drake tune. -
