Edited 22 days agoThis has just been repressed yet again and its in stock in Valve Studio Orchestra's Bandcamp page and Ipecac Recordings' web stores (both U.S. and U.K.) don't buy it scalped while there's still a chance.

Despite being late to the party I still managed to engulf myself in the team fortress 2 community and with it, the funny merchandise that it comes with. It’s very funny actually, with a silly game like tf2 you’d never really expect much about the music in the game. Surprisingly, there is not much music in the main game aside from some jingles at the beginning at the beginning and end of rounds or rarely in the main menu. But man, this album shares so much more to the universe. Most of the songs come from the promotional material used to introduce characters, updates, or the (not so) cute stories created by Valve. The poster that came along with it is wonderful as well (I currently have it up in my room) and provides a lot more than the red and blue posters. From a bucket that you wouldn’t expect there to be much in shows so much more, musically and artistically.

This has the coolest poster ever; sound quality is incredible. Valve has the best orchestra for VG soundtracks.

Edited 3 months agoManaged to nab a reissue from Bandcamp after months of daily-checking. Finally having it in my hands is almost unbelievable!
The gatefold sleeve came with very minor damage at the bottom, near the fold but otherwise mint.
The red disc has some low crackles and pops, it also has some very minor visual warp.
The blue disc has more noticeable surface noise and visual warp, which is quite prominent on quieter tracks (including one of my favorites: "Robots!"), it was a bit disheartening but I couldn't do much else than cope...
The locked grooves were a bit underwhelming.
The poster, the artwork and the in-game item (which I got 2 of?) are really nice bonuses which complement this whole release perfectly! -
classic, mostly bought cuz of the hat, im a tf2 addict

reissue sounds fantastic. I'd guess since 2017 they've found a better formula for color vinyl because I had a friend that got this and said it had surface noise right out of the sleeve. Just got my reissue and it has zero surface noise and dynamic sound
-
Just got reprinted out of the blue, no idea why considering the way Valve actually treats this IP. Maybe Ipecac just decided to print some more due to how insanely high the rarer poster variants have been selling for lately.
-
Green poster variant have been briefly restocked on bandcamp for $36
