Miles Davis Quintet* – Freedom Jazz Dance (The Bootleg Series Vol. 5)

They couldn't add a 4th LP in this box for the master takes ..... Why ?

I had two copies with the exact same nicks on side C (two groups of 5-10 ticks each on C1 at 1:50 and 6:00) and E (3 pops in the middle of E1, at 5:45), so there must be at least a damaged stamper in the mix. Also, stitching on disc 1 in both sets (so common with recent MPO pressings, in my experience). It's not too intrusive, given the roughness of the source material, but slightly annoying, all the same.

That said, I'm enjoying the material more than I thought I might. It's kinda cool being a fly on the wall during the creative process of this amazing group of musicians. The CDs include the master takes as well, though, while these are omitted from the vinyl — so sometimes the recording cuts off abruptly, just when things are coming together. The CDs are a little more satisfying, in that respect.

Can anyone add the runout information for this version? I ordered mine from Amazon CA but got the EU version, which is pressed at MPO (and has the usual stitching issues so common with MPO pressings, in my experience). Is the US version the same? And what are the identifying differences, if any? From the image, all I can make out is that the "Sony Music" logo only appears on the EU version (alongside the Columbia and Legacy logos on the lower left of the back cover). Is that right?
