Gold & black RCA label. This is the 1st pressing in 1956 of this Elvis Presley album. Not 1957, late 56 to 1958 were the reissues on silver & black labels

Actually this black & silver label release came after the RCA gold & black label. SO is a reissue pressing probably around late 1956 to 1958

Why is this a reissue? It should be the first pressing shouldn't it?

This minty green sumbitch sounds great, with nice bass, good fidelity & all the mono-mixes are intact. Bonus tracks are a nice touch as well. Heavyweight vinyl is dead-silent & as flat as Manitoba. Long live The King...

New brand sealed record that arrived warped. I bought it because there are 6 bonus tracks. It wasn't worth it. I regretted it. Should have bought it from another record company with 4 tracks. 2023. It seems that the more current, the worse the versions. And the cover is edited. The guitar is colored yellow, perhaps to draw attention and show that it is a modern version.

the US edition, and why is it written on the disc that Japan ??

I have the Hollywood pressing without the Camden NJ. All these LPM1254 are pressed in 1956. Are all but the Indianapolis PD marked considered repress or are they also since
produced at the same time first pressings?

Just got this yesterday at the record store for $22.99. The record did not have a hype sticker on the plastic and didn’t have a RCA inner sleeve, instead had a blank white inner sleeve with circled edges and inner cut out.

For those who will say it’s in stereo it’s actually not. Hearing this all the way through, it’s actually in mono, so I’m guessing it’s the original mono mix?

To me this record sounds good, and I played this album with an ortofon 2M Red it was dead silent in between songs.

10/10 would recommend this press to anyone, and if you can find an original get that one too!

Absolute fantastic pressing, dead quiet, no pops or other nervwrecking noises. Pretty balanced dynamics and crystal clear sound stage.
